Chap. 96.—An ACT. to amend an act entitled an act to incorporate
the Little Sisters of the Poor in Ricemond.
Approved February §, 1886.
. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section one of an act approved April seventeenth, eighteen
hundred and seventy-four, entitled an act to incorporate the
Little Sisters of the Poor in Richmond, be amended and re-
enacted, so as to read as follows ;
S$ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Lucie Debroucker, Marie Agnes Laisne, Marie Reardon, Hya-
cinthine Augustine Spinglart, Eliza Carmody, Anna Maria Co-
wardin, and Sara Anne Robinson, their successors and asso-
Cilates in the management of a home to be established in the
city of Richmond, for the reception and sustenance of poor,
aged persons, to be called Saint Sophia’s Home for Old Peo-
ple, are hereby created and made a body politic and corporate,
under the name of The Little Sisters of the Poor in Richmond,
and by that name shall have perpetual succession and a com-
mon seal, and may sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
