Chap. 72.—An ACT for the relief of Louis Jones, Treasurer of Mid
dlesex County, Virginia.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, Tha
the auditor of public accounts, upon production of satisfactory
evidence that school warrant for the year eighteen hundrec
and eighty-one, for Middlesex county, state of Virginia, ha:
been lost by the treasurer of Middlesex county, and that the
amount of said warrant has been paid in full by said treasurer
upon orders of the proper school authorities for said county,
the said auditor is hereby authorized, upon settlement with saic
treasurer, to credit him by same: provided, that the audito:
shall take from said treasurer a bond of indemnity, with proper
security, for five thousand dollars, to save the commonwealth
harmless.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
