Chap. 58.—An ACT for the relief of William Chilton, late Treasurer
of Lancaster County.

Whereas William Chilton, late treasurer of Lancaster county,
has in his hands various tickets for taxes and levies, both state
and county, for the years eighteen hundred and eighty- one and
eighteen hundred and eighty-two, which remain uncollected,
but which he has accounted for to the State; therefore,
Be it enacted by the general assembly ‘of Virginia, That
authority be and the same is hereby given to said William Chil-
ton, late treasurer as aforesaid, to collect said tickets for taxes
and levies; and he shall have the same power of levy and dis-
tress for the same, that county treasurers now have under the
revenues laws; this power only to continue one year from the
passage of this bill.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
