CHAP. 459.—An ACT to authorize the judge of the county court of
Warwick to appoint a quarintine ofhcer at Newport News.

Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the judge of the county court of Warwick be and he is hereby
authorized to establish quarantine at Newport News, and to
appoint a quarantine officer, and to regulate his fees, to make
such health arrangements and sanitary regulations at the port
of Newport News in said county, as in his judgment may be
necessary to prevent the introduction and spread of any infec-
tive or contagious disease.
2. The fees to be fixed by the judge shall not exceed fees
paid at the port of Norfolk for quarantine: provided no ex-
pense under this act shall be on the county of Warwick, or any
other part of the commonwealth.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
