Chap. 455.—An ACT providing for the erection of an elevator and
committee rooms in the capitol, and appropriating money therefor.
Approved March 6, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the sum of two thousand dollars be and the same is hereby ap-
propriated for the erection of an elevator, and four offices in
the capitol, the same to be erected under the supervision of the
register of the land office. The auditor of public accounts is
directed to issue his warrants on the treasurer, payable out of
any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in pay-
ment of the same, when the bills shall have been approved by
the governor.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
