Chap. 447.—An ACT to incorporate the Erin Hunting Club of Hen-
rico and Hanover counties.
Approved March 6, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful to open books of subscription in the city of
Richmond, Virginia, under the direction of Edward Cummins,
Peter J. Burton, R. R. Ralston, Beverly T. Crump, Samuel
B. Witt, Joseph Christian, J. H. Dineen and B. T. August, or
either of them, and at such other places in the counties of
Henrico and Hanover as any two of the commissioners afore-
said may elect, for receiving subscriptions of stock, in shares
of ten dollars each, to an amount not less than thirty and not
to exceed one hundred shares, to constitute a joint capital stock
for the purpose of organizing the Erin Hunting Club of the
counties of Henrico and Hanover.
2. Subscriptions of stock may be taken and paid in money |
or in lands: provided that the said company shall not hold
more than three hundred acres:of land in either of the afore-
said counties.
3. Whenever twenty shares of stock shall have been sub-.
scribed, the subscribers shall be and are hereby declared to be
a body politic and corporate, under the name and style of the
Erin Hunting Club of Henrico and Hanover counties, and
shall have all the privileges and be subject to all the restrictions
and provisions of the game laws now in force in the said coun-
ties of Henrico and Hanover.
4. And it shall be lawful, so soon as it is ascertained that.
thirty shares of the stock have been taken, for any two of the
said commissioners to call a meeting of the company, by giving
previous notice of the time and place of such meeting. A ma-
jority of said stockholders being present in person, or repre-
sented by proxy, they may proceed to organize the club by the
election of a president, secretary, and a board of directors,
and do all such other acts as they may deem necessary and
proper to carry out all the objects contemplated in this charter.
5. The principal office of the Erin Hunting Club shall be at.
No. 919 east Broad street, Richmond, Virginia, with a branch
office in Henrico county.
6. This act shall be in force from its passage. |
