Chap. 42.—An ACT to authorize the establishment of a ferry across
James river at Columbia, from the depot of the Richmond and Alle-
ghany railroad to a convenient point on the opposite side of the river.
Approved January 21, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the county courts of the counties of Fluvanna and Cumberland
be and the same are hereby authorized to establish a ferry
across James river, at Columbia, Fluvanna county, from the depot
of the Richmond and Alleghany railroad to a convenient point
on the opposite side of said river; and for the purpose herein
named the county court of the county of Cumberland may
establish a road from said ferry, by condemnation or other-
wise, to some convenient point on the nearest public thoroughfare
thereto. : |
2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act are
hereby repealed. an
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
