Chap. 41.—An ACT to limit the powers of the board of supervisors of
Buchanan county.
Approved January 21, 1886.
Whereas it is represented that the county levy of Buchanan
county is three dollars on every hundred dollars value of prop-
erty in said county ; and whereas such burdensome taxation, if
continued, will result in great injury to the people of said
county: therefore
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisers of Buchanan county shall not fix
the amount of county levies for said county for any year at a
greater rate than one dollar and fifty cents on every hundred
ollars’ value of the real and personal property of said county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
