CHAP. 395.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of chapter 514
of the acts of 1883-4, entitled an act to amend an act approved
March 9, 1880, respecting wild game.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section three of chapter five hundred .and fourteen of session
acts eighteen hundred and eighty-three and eighteen hundred
and eighty-four, entitled an act to amend an act approved
March ninth, eighteen hundred and eighty, respecting wild
game, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 3. The board of supervisors of each county, at their July
annual meeting, may, at their discretion, award a premium of
ten dollars for each wolf scalp, and one dollar and fifty cents
for each scalp of wild cat, catamount, or red fox; and seventy-
five cents for each scalp of gray fox; and fifty cents for each
scalp of chicken hawk or owl, except screech owl, upon satis-
factory evidence that the same were respectively killed within
the limits of the county and by the person in whose behalf the
same may be presented, to be paid on warrant of said board
on the county treasurer: provided, that the provisions of this
act shall not apply to the counties of Loudoun, and provided
further, that in the county of Rockbridge the premium for
each scalp of wild cat, catamounf, red fox or gray fox shall be
fifty cents, if the board of supervisors of that county see fit to
reduce the premium to that sum. :
2. All acts and parts of acts in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed. :
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
