CHAP. 370.—An ACT to provide for the erection of additional build-
ings, &c., for the State Female Normal school, and to make an
appropriation therefor.

Whereas rt appears that the buildings of the State Female
Normal school are inadequate for the purposes of the institute,
and for the accommodation of the number of pupils required
by law to be received and instructed at the school, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the sum of fifteen thousand dollars be and the same is hereby
appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise
appropriated, to the State Female Normal school, to be ex-
pended, under the supervision of the board of trustees of said
school, in enlarging the present school buildings, erecting such
others as may be required, and adding such improvements and
betterments as may be needed.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
