Chap. 338.—An ACT for the relief of John H. Sears of Mathews
county Virginia.
Approved March 1, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts, upon production of satisfactory
evidence, that school warrant for the year eighteen hundred
and eightv-three, for Mathews county, state of Virginia, has
been lost by the treasurer of Mathews county, and that the
amount of said warrant has been paid in full by said treasurer
upon orders of the proper school authorities of said county;
the said aucktor is hereby authorized, upon settlement with
said treasurer to credit him by same; provided, that the auditor
shall take from said treasurer a bond of indemnity, with proper
security for five thousand dollars to save the commonwealth
harmless.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
