CHAP. 313.—An ACT to incorporate the Lynchburg Young Men’s
Christian Association,
Approved March 1, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Thos. J. Kirkpatrick, Jno. P.: Pettyjohn, Dr. H. G. Latham,
Wm. Kinnier, W. B. Freeman, C. A. Licklider, J. B. Johnson,
L. L. Armistead, C. Winfree, J. L. Thompson, J. T. Yates,
E. C. Glass and W. A. Heffernan be and they are hereby con-
stituted a body corporate under the style of the Lynchburg
Young Men’s Christian Association, and as such may have a
common seal, sue and be sued, and hold property derived by
gift, devise, or purchased, whether real or personal, in value
not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars.
2. The officers of said association, duly elected, shall manage
said corporation, and an election to office in said association
shall constitute such officer a member of said body corporate,
and only such officers shall have right to vote or act in the
management of said body.
3. Said officers shall have the right to make all proper rules
and regulations for the management of said association, and
the prosecution of its work.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
