Chap. 299.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section four of the char
ter of the New River and Chambers Valley railroad company.

Approved March 1, 1886.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, Thai
section four of an act approved March tenth, eighteen hundrec
and eighty-four, entited an act to incorporate the New River
and Chambers’ Valley railroad company, be amended and re.
enacted, so as to read as follows:

§ 4. Said company shall begin work on its road in two year:
from the first day of March, eighteen hundred and eighty-six
shall construct its road as far as Hillsville in four years fro
that date, and shall complete the same in six years from the
date of such commencement, and such work of constructior
shall not be begun until at least twenty per centum of the mini-
mum amount of its capital stock shall have been paid in cash.
And the general assembly reserves the right to modify, change
or repeal this charter at pleasure.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
