Chap. 276.—An ACT to allow the Board of School Trustees of Aquia
District, Stafford county, to use a portion of the county fund to pay
district expenses for the year 1885. |
Approved February 27, 1886.
Whereas, Aquia school district, Stafford county, is in arrears
and in debt for necessary building of school-houses, and for
furnishing the same; and whereas, the maximum amount of
ten cents on every one hundred dollars’ valuation levied for
district school taxes being insufficient to pay said arrearages
and furnish necessary funds to keep the school-houses in pro-
per condition and properly furnished; therefore,
Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of school trustees of Aquia district be and they are
hereby allowed to use a sum sufficient to pay said arrearages,
and any other district expenses, out of the county fund of said
district, not to exceed eight cents on every one hundred dollars’
valuation, the board of supervisors having levied ten cents on
every one hundred dollars county fund for said distcict for the
year eighteen hundred and eighty-five.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
