CHAP. 271.—An ACT for the relief of John C. Thomas and others, of
Mathews county, Virginia.
Approved February 27, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to issue his warrant in favor of John C. Thomas,
for the sum of two hundred and sixty-five dollars; also, in favor
of Bartlett Marchant and A. J. Soper, for the sum of eleven
dollars, each payable out-of any money in the treasury not
otherwise appropriated, it being a compensation for services
rendered by them as guards, by order of the county court of
Mathews, over a vessel captured in unlawful dredging in the
waters of the commonwealth of Virginia.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
