Chap. 270.—An ACT to authorize the sale of the Moffett Registers
belonging to the state. )

Whereas the Moffett registers have become useless to the
state, and are now stored in a building for which the state has
to Pay. a rent of five dollars per month: therefore
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the ‘register of the land office be and he is hereby directed to
make sale of all of the Moffett registers belonging to the state,
at the best price he can obtain, and turn the proceeds of such
sale over to the treasurer of the state, with a detailed statement
of, his proceedings under this act.
2. This act shall be in force-from its passage.
