CHAP. 269.—An ACT to provide payment to E. C. Burks for services
rendered the commonwealth, as counsel in behalf of the state, in
the case of Thos. Branch & Co. against the Commissioners of the
Sinking Fund.
Approved February 27, 1886.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he 1s hereby authorized
and directed to draw his warrant upon the treasurer for two
hundred and fifty dollars, payable out of any money in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated, in favor of E. C.. Burks,
as compensation for services as counsel in behalf of the state in
the case of Thomas Branch and company against the commis-
sioners of the sinking fund, lately pending in ‘the supreme
court of appeals.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
