Chap. 120.—An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 183 of Acts of
Assembly of 1879-’80, entitled an act authorizing the School Trus-
tees of Richmond District, Wise County, Virginia, to sell one acre
of Cold Spring tract of land.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section one of chapter one hundred and eighty-three of the
Session Acts of eighteen hundred and seventy-nine and eighty,
be amended and re-enacted, so as to read as follows:
§ 1. That the district board of school trustees of Richmond
district, in the county of Wise, be and they are hereby em-
powered to sell and convey the tract or parcel of land belong-
ing to said district, known as Cold Spring tract, lying in said
district, the proceeds to be applied by said board to the erec-
tion and furnishing a school-house in said district, at such place
in the district as the board may select. That the said district
school board shall be and they are hereby empowered to cause
the said tract of land to be conveyed to the purchaser by deed,
to be executed by the chairman of said board, for and on be-
half of said board; and which deed, when so executed and de-
livered, shall be operative to convey all the title and interest
which is now vested in said board of school trustees.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
