Chap. 109.—An ACT authorizing the Secretary of the Commonwealth
and State Librarian to transmit to W. A. Glasgow, at Fincastle,
Virginia, one copy of each volume of the Calender of Virginia
Historical Manuscripts.

Whereas W. A. Glasgow, late member of the general as-
sembly, is prosecuting inquiries pertaining to our colonial pe-
riod, in the interest of public history, and it being deemed wise
and proper to encourage the elucidation of that period, and
the familiarity of the people therewith—
Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the five volumes of state papers, whereof publication has been
completed, be, out of the stock in charge of the state librarian
not otherwise disposed of, transmitted to W. A. Glasgow,
Fincastle, Virginia; and as, from time to time, other volumes
in continuation of the series be completed, that the same be
transmitted in like manner.
2. The secretary of the commonwealth and state librarian
are charged with carrying out the provisions of this act.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
