Chap. 94.—An ACT granting relief to J. L. McIntosh, treasurer of
Loudoun county.
‘ Approved November 24, 1884.
Whereas in certain suits instituted in the county and circuit
courts of Loudoun county against J. L. McIntosh, treasurer
of said county, to compel the reception of coupong in pay-
ment of taxes, judgments were rendered against said tréa-
surer for the costs of said suits, the sum of two hundred and
ten dollars and four cents of which have not been paid; and
whereas said treasurer was obliged by law to defend, and did
defend, said suits, and it is manifestly unjust to enforce the
payment of said costs from said treasurer’s estate; therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby ordered to
draw his warrant on the state treasurer, payable to J. L.
McIntosh, treasurer of Loudoun county, for the sum of two
hundred and ten dollars and four cents, in full, of such costa,
as certified by the clerk of the circuit court of said county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage. .
