Chap. 66.—An ACT to authorize county supervisors to administer
oaths and affirmations.

Approved November 22, 1884.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
all county surveyors and their deputies, be and they hereby
are authorized and empowered to administer oaths and
affirmations to all persons acting with them or under them,
in discharge of any duty imposed on them by law or by any
court of competent jurisdiction, and certify the same, and
such oath or affirmation shall be as effective and binding as
if taken before any other officer having authority to admin-
ister oaths.

2. This act.shall be in force from its passage.
