Chap. 185.—An ACT to provide for the rebinding and indexing of cer-
tain books of record in the land office.
Approved December 1, 1884.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the register of the land office be and he is hereby authorized
and instructed to have all the volumes that may need it, of
the public records of his office rebound and indexed, and to
enable him so to do, the sum of four hundred dollars is here-
by appropriated for that purpose.
2. The register of the land office shall present and file with
the auditor of public accounts a statement of the cost of such
rebinding and indexing, and thereupon the auditor shall issue
his warrant upon the treasurer for payment of the same, not
to exceed the said sum of four hundred dollars.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
