Chap. 167.—An ACT for the relief of Hugh M. Patton, late deputy
‘treasurer of Culpeper county.

Whereas Hugh M. Patton, late deputy treasurer of Cul-
peper county, has in hands certain tax-tickets due for the
years eighteen hundred and eighty-one and eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-two, of both state and county levy, amount-
ing in whole to three hundred dollars; for which the said
Patton has accounted both to the state and county; therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the further time of one year is hereby given said Hugh M.
Patton, as aforesaid, to collect the said taxes, and to enable
him to do so, he shall have the same power of levy and dis-
tress, which treasurers now have under the laws of this state.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
