Chap. 149.—An AOT for the protection of fish in Back Bay in Princess
Anne county, Virginia.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall not be lawful for any person or persons to haul any
seine or seines known as a drag seine for the purpose of catch-
ing fish or terrapins in any of the waters of Back bay or its
tributaries in the county of Princess Anne, between the first
day of April’ and the first day of November of each year;
this act, however, shall not apply to nets known as set or
mullet nets. Any person or persons found violating this act
shall be fined by a justice of the peace or the county court
for the first offence twenty dollars, and to be doubled for
each succeeding offence, of which fine the informer shall have
one half.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
