Chap. 137.—An ACT to provide compensation to the clerks of county
and corporation courts for making records of delinquent lands and
receiving payment of taxes on same.

Approved November 27, 1884.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the several clerks of the county and corporation courts of this
commonwealth, for the services imposed upon them by an
act approved March nineteenth, eighteen hundred and eighty-
four, entitled an act to provide for the more effectual and ex-
peditious collection of taxes on delinquent lands, shall be en-
titled to receive the following fees: For every tract of land
recorded in his office, a fee of ten cents, to be paid out of the
state treasury. For making statement, calculating interest,
and receiving payment of the taxes on any tract of land, a
fee of fifty cents to be charged to the party redeeming the
land. : : |
