Chap. 133.—An ACT for the relief of the sureties of John F. Jones,
late treasurer of Craig county.
Approved November 27, 1884.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized and direc-
ted to accept from the sureties of John F. Jones, late trea-
surer of Craig county, or any of them, the bonds of the state,
with all unpaid coupons attached, issued under the act ap-
proved February the fourteenth, eighteen hundred and eighty-
two, entitled an act to ascertain and declare Virginia’s equi-
table share of the debt, and so forth, to the amount of the
balance now due by the said treasurer, computing interest at
the rate of six per centum per annum, by reason of the default
of the said John F. Jones: provided the said bonds shall be
paid tothe treasurer within two years from the passage of
this act. )
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
