Chap. 531.—An ACT for the relief of the Tax-Payers of Alleghany
county.
Approved March 18, 1884.
Whereas the commissioner of the revenue of Alleghany
county has been unable, by reason of serious illness, to make
out and furnish to the treasurer of that county the commis-
sioner’s books within the time prescribed by law, and the
treasurer was, therefore, unable to have the tax-tickets made
out by the first day of December, eighteen hundred and
eighty-three, so that the tax-payers of said county could not
pay the taxes due by them by or before the said first day of
ecember, eighteen hundred and ecighty-three; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the treasurer of Alleghany county shall not add to the taxes
due by said tax-payers for the year eighteen hundred and

to pay prior to the first day of December, eighteen hundred
and cighty-tbree, until the first day of June, cighteen hun-
dred and eighty-four.
