Chap. 530.—An ACT refunding to Charles Dugan an amount paid on
erroneous assessment.
Approved March 18, 1884.
Whereas it appears that a certain lot of land on Cedar
street, in the lower district of Henrico county, belonging to
Charles Dugan, was assessed at four hundred dollars, and
that in transferring the same to the commissioners’ books, by
a clerical mistake, said assessment was erroneously made one
thousand one hundred dollars; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts is hereby directed to issue his
warrant on the treasurer, in favor of Charles Dugan, for nine
dollars and ten cents; said amount being the excess paid by
the said Dugan, by reason of the erroncous assessment of his
land.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
