Chap. 379.—An ACT for the protection of Deer in the counties of
Bland and Wythe.
Approved March 10, 1884.
1. Beit enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That
it shall not be lawful for any one to run, chase or pursue with
dogs any deer within the counties of Bland and Wythe.
2. Upon complaint of any person betore a justice of the
peace of the violation of this act, he shall issue a warrant for
the arrest of the person or persons against whom complaint
is made, and shall cause the same to be apprehended and
brought before him, or some other justice of the peace of
said county, and if found guilty he shall impose a fine upon
each person so found guilty of not less than five nor more
than fifty dollars, of which one-half shall be paid tothe person
making the complaint, and the other half to the common-
wealth, and judgment shall be rendered by the justice against
the person or persons so found guilty for the cost of the
proceeding.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
