Chap. 364.—An ACT forthe relief of J. H. Sears, treasurerof Mathews
county, Virginia.

1. Be it enacted. by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts, upon production of eatisfactory
evidence that school warrant for the year cighteen hundred
and eighty-one, for Mathews county, state of Virginia, has
been lost. by the treasurer of Mathews county, and that the
amount of said warrant has been paid in full by said trea-
surer upon orders of the proper school authorities of said
county, the said auditor is hereby authorized, upon settle-
ment with said treasurer, to credit him by same: provided
that the auditor shall take from said treasurer a bond of in-
demnity, with proper security, for four thousand dollars, to
save the commonwealth harmless.
