Chap. 350.—An ACT fixing the time within which a suit shall be
brought to enforce the payment of county, city, or town subscriptions
to railroad companies in certain cases.

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia. That
when any county, city or town has heretofore, or may here-
after vote a subscription to any railroad company, either in
money, bonds or other property, no action or suit shall be
brought to recover such subscription after ten years from the
time at which such subscription was voted: provided that as
to any subscription heretofore made, such action or suit may
in any case he brought within two years after the passave of
this act: provided further, that nothing in this act shall be
construed to limit the time within which an action or suit
may be brought to compel the payment of money due. or
which may hereafter become due upon bonds now issued, or
which may hereafter be issued by a county, city or town in
payment of a subscription to a railroad company.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
