Chap. 332.—An ACT for the relief of A. Moore, Jr.
Approved March 7, 1ss4.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts do, upon the passage of this
act, and upon proof of the date at which said coupons
matured, i issue his warrant upon the treasurer of the com-
monwealth to the order of A. Moore, Junior, payable out of
any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for
one hundred and fiity dollars—being the amount of five seve-
ral coupons cut from the bonds of the commonwealth issued
under the act of cighteen hundred and seventy-one, entitled
an act to fund the public debt, numbered, respectively, one
thousand two hundred and four, one thousand four hundred
and thirteen, one thousand four hundred and ninety-two, five
thousand four hundred and thirty-nine, and twelve thousand
three hundred and thirty-seven; which said coupons were
proven to be genuine by a judgment of the county court of
Clarke, at its June term, eighteen hundred and cighty-three,
and which, without any fault of’ the owner, were lost: pro-
vided such coupons have not been presented and paid at the
second auditor's office: and provided further, that the auditor
of public accounts shall furnish the second auditor a memo-
‘andum of such coupons if paid by him under this act, and
thereafter said coupons, if presented at the office of the second
auditor, shall not be paid or redeemed.
2. This act shall be in force trom its passave.
