Chap. 266.—An ACT to amend the act of incorporation of the Odd
Fellows Building Association cf Norfolk.
Approved March 4, 1884.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
in addition to the rights, powers, and privileges now vested
in the Odd Fellows building association of Norfolk city, by
its act of incorporation passed on the seventh day of Janu-
ary. eighteen hundred and fifty-six, that the said corporation
shall be and hereby is authorized to grant, sell and convey,
or mortgage, or otherwise dispose of any estate, real or per-
sonal, which it now holds, or may hereafter acquire: pro-
vided that no such sale and conveyance, or mortguve of said
property, shall at any time be made by the said corporation,
until the consent of three-fourths at least, of the entire stock
of said corporation shall be voted in favor of such sale and
conveyance, or mortgage, by the owners of said stock, either
at a special meeting of the stockholders to be held under a
notice of five consecutive days, in one or more newspapers
published in the city of Norfolk, or at the annual mecting
thereof.
2. That in the event of a sale of said property, the net
proceeds thereof, after paying all the debts and liabilities of
the said corporation, shall be divided and distributed among
the holders of the stock therein, according to the number of
shares they may respectively own.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
