Chap. 234.—An ACT to increase the pay of sheriffs in the counties of
Charlotte and Pittsylvania.

Approved March 3, 1884.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the board of supervisors of Charlotte
and Pittsylvania to fix the annual allowances to be paid out
of the county levies, to the sheriffs of said counties, for ser-
vices rendered therein, at a sum not exceeding seven hundred
dollars for the county of Charlotte and one thousand dollars
for the county of Pittsylvania.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
