Chap. 231.—An ACT to amend section 3 of an act approved March 14,
1878, in relation to the sale of certain school property in the town of
Marion.

Approved March 3, 1884.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section three of an act entitled an act to authorize the trus-
tees of certain school property in the town of Marion, Smyth
copal church, south, of a portion of the school lot, be amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

§3. The trustees of the said school property, whenever
they think it advisable and expedient, may sell the remainder
of said lot, and are authorized to turn over the proceeds of
said sale to the board trustees of the fourth school district of
Smyth county, to be invested by said board for the best in-
terests of the public schools in said fourth district.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
