Chap. 144.—An ACT to authorize the Judges of the County Courts of
Accomac and Stafford to have the registration-books copied.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the judges of the county courts of
Accomac and Stafford, as soon as practicable, to order the
registrars of the several precincts in said counties, to bring
betore them respectively the registration-books, and if upon
examination thereof they may consider that the necessity
exists, they may order the whole, or any number of the said
registration-books to be copied, and the said copy or copies,
when so made, shall have the same force and effect as the
originals. All expenses incurred under this act shall be paid
out of the county levies to be made in the year eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-four, and be allowed by the said judges
respectively, as in their opinion may be just and reasonable.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
