Chap. 110.—An ACT to empower John A. Booker, late treasurer of
Cumberland county, and his deputies, further time to levy for taxes.
Approved February 12, 1884.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
full power and authority is hereby given to John “A. Booker,
late treasurer of Cumberland county, and to A. B. Agee and
William M. Foster, his deputies, to collect for the sureties of
said treasurer and. his deputies, by levy or distress, the tax
tickets for taxes and levies, both state and county, now in
their hands, for the year eighteen hundred eighty, together
with all the powers now conterred upon treasurers tor the
collection of revenue: provided that the authority conferred
by this act shall expire on the first day of January, eighteen
hundred and eighty-five, except as to such proceedings | there-
tofore begun: provided further, that no power is hereby given
to make | any further return of delinquent taxes as to such
tickets.
