Chap. 38.—JOINT RESOLUTION to provide for the removal of the
statue of Henry Clay from the capitol grounds to the rotunda of the
capitol, and to provide fur the preservation of the same.
Approved April 14, 1882.
Resolved by the House of Delegates (the Senate concur-
ring), That the superintendent of public buildings be and is
hereby instructed to remove the statue of Henry Clay from
the capitol grounds to the rotunda of the capitol and place it
in one of the niches in the said rotunda, and in order to pro-
tect the said statue from the effects of the atmosphere, to
encase the same in a glass case in such a manner as not to
obstruct the view of said statue.
This joint resolution shall be in force from its passage.
