Chap. 3.—An ACT providing for holding the term of a court by the
judge of another court, the incumbent dying before the term is com-
pleted.
Approved January 7, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
if, pending the term of any of the courts of this common-
wealth, holden by any other than the regularly constituted
judge thereof, the incumbent shall die, the term shall not
thereby be ended, but shall continue and be completed as the
same would have been if the incumbent had not died.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Chap. 3.—An ACT to allow the trustees of the Lutheran [church, at
Mount Jackson, Shenandoah county, Virginia, to sell a part of a lot
belonging to said church and convey title to same.
Approved March 29, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for George Maphis, one of the trustees of
the Lutheran church in the town of Mount Jackson, Shenan-
doah county, Virginia, or his successors, to sell, at such time
and upon such terms as he may deem expedient, a certain
part or parcel of a lot belonging to said church, and with the
proceeds of said sale to build and erect a building, to be used
and controlled by said church as a parsonage; and it shall
be lawful for the trustees aforesaid, or his successor, when
the said part or parcel of said lot shall have been sold and
the purchase money paid, according to the terms of the sale,
toconvey to the purchaser thereof all the rights and title
vested in the trustees of said church.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
