Chap. 286.—An ACT authorizing the county of Pittsylvania to sell
its stock in the Virginia Midland Railroad Company.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Pittsylvania county shall have
power by their agent appointed at a regular or any other
meeting, to sell or exchange in any manner they may think
proper, with or without notice, and at any time or place, the
stock of said county in the Virginia Midland railroad com-
