Chap. 231.—An ACT to authorize L. B. Porterfield and others, sur-
viving trustees, to sell certain property.
Approved March 6, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
William B. Dickenson, John B. Clark, Micajah McCormack,
and Lilburn Porterfield, surviving trustees, be hereby author-
ized and empowered to sell the church and school lot and
appurtenances, containing one-fourth of an acre, situated
near Glade Spring, in Washington county, Virginia, conveyed
to themselves and others, in trust, by N. Snead and wife, by
deed bearing date the seventeenth day of March, eighteen
hundred and sixty-seven, and the said surviving trustees are
also hereby authorized and required to reinvest the purchase
money in other property, to be used for the same purposes as
specified in said deed; and all things done by said surviving
trustees heretofore in furtherance of the objects of this act,
are hereby ratitied and confirmed: provided, however, that
the purchaser of said lot shall not be bound to see to the
application of the purchase money.
2. Ti:is act shall be in force from its passage.
