Chap. 219.—An ACT tu amend and re-enact the seventh section of the
Revised Criminal Code, approved March 14, 1878, to prevent the car-
rying of cuncealed weapons.
Approved March 6, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section
seven of the criminal code, approved March fourteenth,
eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 7. If a person carry about his person, hid from common
observation, any pistol, dirk, bowie-knife, or any weapon of
the like kind, he shall be fined not more than fifty dollars, nor
less than fifteen dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
CuapP. 220.—An ACT to prescribe the penalty for non-payment of
taxes in cities and towns.
Approved March 6, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall
not be lawful for the authorities of any city or town in this
state, to impose or receive, in any case, a higher rate of
penalty for the non-payment of taxes, than is prescribed by
the laws of the state in the cases of persons delinquent in
the payment of state taxes.
2. All acts and parts of acts, and all provisions of the char-
ters or ordinances of any city or town in this state, in con-
flict with this act, are-hereby repealed and declared null and
void.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.

not be lawful for the authorities of any city or town in this
state, to impose or receive, in any case, a higher rate of
penalty for the non-payment of taxes, than is prescribed by
the laws of the state in the cases of persons delinquent in
the payment of state taxes.
2. All acts and parts of acts, and all provisions of the char-
ters or ordinances of any city or town in this state, in con-
flict with this act, are-hereby repealed and declared null and
void.
