Chap. 182.—An ACT to authorize the Methodist Episcopal church,
south, of the city of Fredericksburg, to raise moncy for improving
and repairing church property.
Approved February 21, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That m.
the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal church, south, of the 8°
city of Fredericksburg, be and are hereby authorized to sell se
and convey their church property, situated on George street, ons
in the said city, and to add to the proceeds of such sale a
sum of money, not exceeding one thousand dollars, which
sum the said trustees are hereby authorized to borrow, and
to issue for same their bonds, and to secure said bonds by
deed or deeds of trust, to be executed by the said trustees
upon the real estate now owned by the said church or said
trustees.
2. And be it further enacted, That the aggregate sum i
accruing from such sale, and borrowed money, shall be ob
applied by the said trustees to the repairing and improving
of the church building and property of the said church, situ-
ated on Hanover street, in the said city.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage. Co
