Chap. 177.—An ACT for the relief of P. T. Johnson.
Approved February 21, 1882.
Whereas one P. T. Johnson did, during the year eighteen
hundred and seventy-four, become surety for the appearance
of Alexander Richardson before the hustings court of the
ity of Richmond; and whereas the eaid Richardson havin
urfeited his bail by non-appearance; and whereas the said
Johnson was compelled thereby to pay unto the common-
wealth the sum of one hundred dollars; and whereas, further,
1y the personal exertions of said Johnson, Richardson has
ince been arrested and turned over to the authorities for

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
1 public accounts is hereby authorized and directed, upon
pplication of said P. T. Johnson, accompanied by a certitfi-
ate of the clerk of the hustings court of the city of Rich-
nond that the said money has been paid, to issue his warrant
ipon the treasurer for the sum of one hundred dollars, that
ing the amount so paid by him; the amount to be paid out
f any moneys not otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
