Chap. 140.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2, of an act enti-
tled an act to incorporate the Virginia Marble and Mining Company,
approved February 27, 1879.
Approved February 15, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the genoral assembly of Virginia, That
section two of an act entitled an act to incorporate the Vir-
ginia marble and mining company, approved twenty-seventh
of February, eighteen hundred and seventy-nine, be amended
ind re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§2. The capital stock of said company shall not be less
than four thousand dollars nor more than two million dollars,
divided into shares of one hundred dollars each; and for the
purpose of obtaining subscriptions to said capital stock, any
three persons named in the first section, may open books of
subscription at any time and place, of which they shall give
thirty days notice in a newspaper published in the state of
Virginia.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
