Chap. 101.—An ACT authorizing the trustees of the Methodist Episco-
pal church, south, to sell certain church property on Elk creek, in
Grayson county.
Approved February 14, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That 1
John Comer, senior, William Roberts, Edward Laughlin, and §
Elisha Bedwell, or their successors, trustees of the Methodist ¢
Episcopal church, south, be and they are hereby authorized °
to sell and convey a certain lot or parcel of land on Elk creek,
in Grayson county, deeded to them by Alexander Sutherland
for the use and benefit of said church. The said trustees are
hereby authorized and required to re-invest the proceeds of
said sale in other property for the use and benefit of the Elk
creek circuit of the Methodist Episcopal church, south.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage. c
OwapP. 102.—An ACT to authorize the trustees of Martinsville Methco-
dist church, in the county of Henry, to sell a lot of land and invest
the proceeds.
Approved February 14, 1882.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
J. B. Lavinder, J. M. Smith, junior, and TameefSemple, trus-
tees for Martinsville Methodist chureh, south, in the county
Henry, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
sell and convey a lot of land belonging to said church, and
said trustees shall invest the proceeds arising from such sale
in the improvement of said church.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
