CHAP. 7.—An ACT authorizing the trustees of the Methodist Epis-
copal Chureh South, in Fredericksburg, to sell and convey a part of
their church lot, and invest the proeeeds of the sale.

Approved March 28, 1879.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal church south, in Fred-
ericksburg, are hereby authorized to sell, and by a good and
sufficient deed, convey in fee simple with special warranty to
the purchaser so much of their lot in rear of their church build-
ing, known as George-Street church, as they may deem advisa-
ble, and receive the proceeds thereof, and apply the same as
they may deem best and most expedient for the use of said
church; but the purchaser shall not be bound to see to the appli-
cation of the purchase money.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
