CHAP. 2.—JOINT RESOLUTION instructing the attorney-general
to institute the necessary proceedings in the proper court to ascer-
tain whether the charter of the Atling ton Turnpike Company has.
been forfeited.

1. Resolved (the Senate concurring), That the attorney-gene-
ral be and he is hereby instructed to institute the necessary
proceedings in the proper court to ascertain whether the char-
ter of the Arlington turnpike company has been forfeited by

reason of the failure of the company to comply with the pro-

visions of its charter and the general law in relation to turn-
pikes; and the order entered by the county court of Alexan-
dria county, on the eighth day of October, eighteen hundred
and seventy-seven, in relation to such turnpike, shall be no bar
to such proceedings.

2. This joint resolution shall be in force from its passage.
