CHAP. 17.—An ACT to authorize the Giles and Pulaski Turnpike
company to discontinue so much of their turnpike road as Hes be-
tween the towns of Dublin and Newbern, in Pulaski county, and the
county court of Pulaski county to take control of the same.
Approved March 28, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for the Giles and Pulaski turnpike company to discon-
tinue so much of their turnpike road as lies between the towns
of Dublin and Newbern, in the county of Pulaski, and said
company shall not be longer required to keep said portion of
their road in repair, nor be longer authorized to receive tolls on
said portion of their said road; but the discontinuance of said
portion of: said road shall not forfeit, in any respect, any of
the rights or privileges of said company, as to the residue of
their said road.
2. It shall be lawful for the county court of Pulaski county
to proceed, in regard to said portion of said road soe discon-
tinued, in the same manner as now provided by law in cases of
abandoned turnpike roads,
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
