Chap. 124.—An AOT authorizing the payment of eighty-three dollars
and twenty-five cents to James A. Lipscomb, of Manchester.

Whereas James A. Lipscomb, chief of police of the city of
Manchester, did, in the proper discharge of his official duty,
expend a certain sum of money from his private funds, in
bringing from the state of New York, on the requisition of the
governor of this commonwealth, a prisoner charged with felony ;
therefore, °
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized to issue his
warrant on the treasurer, in favor of James A. Lipscomb, for
the sum of eighty-three dollars and twenty-five cents, to be
paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appro-
priated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
